EditShare To Bring New Items to Duncan Show!

EditShare will be showing the new EditShare Storage v7 and Flow v3 Media Asset Management solutions at the Duncan Video Product Showcase.

Built on the newest, high-performance Linux kernel, EditShare Storage v7 delivers higher stream counts, higher total throughput and smoother operation than ever before. The enhanced operating system incorporates a new Quality of Service (QoS) system that allows authorized users to reserve bandwidth for high-priority real-time activities such as capture and playout. At the network level, EditShare 7 introduces support for Active Directory Single Sign-On (SSO) as well as the SMB 2.1 networking protocol, enabling uncompressed 4K over 40-Gigabit Ethernet and improved performance with standard 1-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit connections.

Flow v3 offers substantial new features such as AirFlow for remote, web-based access to content stored on EditShare media spaces and archives, and Flow Automation for designing smart, time-saving templates that automate repetitive tasks such as transcoding to or from specific video formats, moving media or updating metadata. The new Flow v3 release also features support for scan and preview of non-video assets such as audio-only files and still images, vastly improved cuts-only editing, advanced metadata import and export tools, and support for third-party storage, allowing facilities to better manage content across production systems from ingest to archive.
